The charm itself is very cute. It’s small but fitting for a charm. The tiny chains on the side are extremely fine and wearing this on a bracelet could easily catch and break. Ideally on a necklace would be better. The either thing which was not described in your description of the item was that; ideally you have to put an extra charm or dividers in between the two hanging loop if you want the cat charm to hang nicely, either wise the two loops just meet together and the charm is floppy and it doesn’t look the way it should. I wish I had known this before buying. Overall the quality is good.

The added metals in sterling silver necklaces make it an incredibly durable material. It's even stronger than gold. However, due to its lightweight, it makes an ideal choice for jewelry that will be worn daily or often.
If you want to know the cost of the sterling silver, weigh it, and multiply the weight by 92.5%. If you had a piece of silver jewelry that weighed 100 grams, a piece stamped with “925” would contain 92.5 grams of silver, worth about $55, according to the days’ spot price. You can expect to pay between R369 and R799
The answer is a big YES. Don't worry about tarnishing or damaging sterling silver necklaces. They are convenient to clean and repair.
Sterling silver is less durable but more affordable. White gold is more durable but comes with a higher price tag.
Any 925 sterling silver necklace will be a good choice and you won’t go wrong.
